📢 Announcement: AI KnowZone Foundation Signs MOU with Nyeri North Technical College -09/26/2025
AI KnowZone Foundation is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nyeri North Technical College in Nyeri County. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our mission to equip young people with future-ready Artificial Intelligence skills.
Through this partnership, AI KnowZone Foundation will provide training to TVET students at Nyeri North Technical College on how to integrate AI into the trades and professions they are studying. The goal is to ensure that graduates are not only skilled in their technical areas, but also prepared to thrive in a rapidly changing job market where the use of AI is becoming essential.
Speaking during the signing, C.P.A Peter Wairimu, Director of Innovations and Research at Nyeri North Technical College, expressed strong support for the initiative, noting that it will help bridge the gap between education and industry needs.
At AI KnowZone Foundation, we believe that this program will go a long way in empowering students to succeed both as innovators and as industry-ready professionals.
As we often remind our students:
“AI will not replace you… but somebody using AI will.”
This partnership is one of many steps we are taking to ensure that young people in Kenya are equipped, competitive, and ready for the future of work.

📢 Announcement: AI KnowZone Foundation and Fanikisha Hub Partner to Empower TVET Learners with AI & Design Thinking Skills (10/01/2025)
The AI KnowZone Foundation has announced a strategic partnership with Fanikisha Hub, a learner-centered entrepreneurship and innovation hub, to strengthen the AI4TVETs Program in Kenya.
This collaboration will equip Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) learners with the dual power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Design Thinking, enabling them to innovate practical solutions for real-world challenges.
Through this partnership:
- AI KnowZone Foundation will deliver hands-on AI training, exposing learners to cutting-edge tools and applications.
- Fanikisha Hub will mentor learners on Design Thinking, prototyping, and innovation methodologies, ensuring ideas can be transformed into viable products and businesses.
👉 The ultimate goal is to empower TVET students to design and build AI Assistants tailored for Juakali trades — from mechanics and artisans to small traders — bridging the gap between technology and Kenya’s vibrant informal economy.
“This partnership is about more than just training; it’s about unlocking the innovative spirit of young Kenyans. By combining AI skills with design thinking, we can help learners not only adapt to the future of work but also shape it,” said [C.P.A John Gitahi, AI KnowZone Foundation].
“Fanikisha has always believed in hands-on learning and industry-driven innovation. Partnering with AI KnowZone allows us to bring the power of AI into this process and prepare students to create products that impact communities directly,” said [Benson Mwangi, Fanikisha Hubs Founder].
This initiative comes at a time when Kenya’s TVET institutions are being positioned as engines of innovation and job creation. By embedding AI into technical training, the program aims to prepare learners for the digital economy while also strengthening Kenya’s MSMEs and Juakali sector with homegrown solutions.
