Dr. David Kiptoo Tanui

Dr. David Kiptoo Tanui is a finance and corporate governance expert with over 18 years of experience in financial management, investment strategy, and nonprofit oversight. He brings a wealth of expertise in structuring sustainable funding models for social enterprises and ensuring strong financial accountability in mission-driven organizations.

David is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and holds an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi. His Doctorate (from UoN too) is in Business Administration. He has served as Finance Director for several regional NGOs and sat on the boards of youth-focused initiatives funded by major development partners, including GIZ and USAID. His background also includes consultancy work in SACCO development, budgeting for donor-funded programs, and risk compliance.

A strong believer in the power of technology to drive inclusive development, David actively champions responsible innovation in youth skilling programs. At AI Know Zone Foundation, he plays a key role in strengthening governance structures, guiding financial strategy, and cultivating high-value partnerships that support long-term impact.
