We’re also training TVET instructors in AI because tomorrow’s trades demand tech-savvy teachers. AI acts as their ultimate teaching assistant—automating grading and admin tasks so they can focus on hands-on mentoring.
By mastering AI tools, instructors future-proof their own careers while preparing students for real-world tech like smart farming equipment and AI-assisted diagnostics.
Outcome (Income + Life Change):
Artisans(Young people in Jua Kali) attract more clients, charge higher prices, and manage their businesses better.
A salonist can double income by marketing on Facebook using AI; a carpenter can pitch modern AI-designed furniture. The program turns low-income artisans into tech-savvy micro-entrepreneurs.
Meanwhile, by equipping TVET students with targeted AI skills, we’re not just preparing them for jobs—we’re empowering them to redefine their industries, solve local challenges with cutting-edge tools, and lead Kenya’s digital transformation from the ground up
