🌍✨ A Proud Moment for AI KnowZone Foundation! -06/11/2025 ✨🌍

This week marked a remarkable milestone in our journey to upskill Kenyans and Africans with AI skills for the workplace, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

AI KnowZone Foundation was honored to partner with KCA University during their Innovation Week & Industry Summit, where we took part in showcasing the power of applied artificial intelligence in solving real-world problems. The highlight of the week was the AI Hackathon, which served as the grand finale of our AI X Bootcamp for NextGen Software Engineers and Innovators.

🏆 Celebrating Our Silver Medalists

One of our outstanding mentees, Lucky Nakola, alongside teammates Beverline Opiyo, Bellamy Wilkeans, and Alvin Ogutu, made us incredibly proud by emerging as 1st Runners-up (Silver Medalists) in the Hackathon.

Their winning innovation, UHAI SMART AI EMERGENCY RESPONSE ASSISTANT (UhaiLink AI), embodies the true spirit of AI for Good.

UhaiLink AI is an AI-powered web platform designed to save lives during emergencies. It securely stores a user’s critical medical information—such as blood type, allergies, chronic conditions, and emergency contacts—and connects it to a personalized QR code.
During emergencies, first responders can instantly scan this QR code to access life-saving data, even without login credentials or prior knowledge of the patient.

The project earned the team a Ksh 10,000 cash reward and a gift hamper from Indomie, our Hackathon category sponsors. But beyond the prize, the real victory lies in the impact potential of their innovation.

💙 Empowering Innovators for Impact

Moments like this remind us why AI KnowZone Foundation exists.
We’re not just teaching artificial intelligence — we’re nurturing innovators who are applying AI to real social challenges, building solutions that touch lives, and redefining Africa’s role in the digital age.

The success of UhaiLink AI is a clear reflection of what’s possible when young people are empowered with knowledge, mentorship, and opportunity.

🤝 Gratitude and Forward Momentum

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to KCA University for their partnership and continued belief in the transformative power of AI education and innovation.

This is only the beginning. 🚀
As we continue expanding our AI upskilling programs and partnerships across Kenya and Africa, we remain committed to empowering the next generation of AI innovators — young minds using technology to create opportunities and drive social change in the spirit of #AI4Good.

We Trained at Mathira Technical & Vocational College-16/10/2025

What an incredible day at Mathira Technical & Vocational College!

🤚Yesterday’s AI training session was nothing short of amazing — the energy, curiosity, and passion from the students were electric! 💡

💪We didn’t just get deeper into ChatGPT… we took them beyond ChatGPT— diving into practical, real-world AI tools that they can use right now both as students and in their future careers including creating their own GPTs.

🎤A key part of the session was mentorship — and our message to every student was simple but powerful:

✨ Choose one AI skill, master it, and become a guru in it.

Because the world doesn’t reward generalists anymore — it celebrates specialists.

🙏The AI KnowZone Foundation team extends our heartfelt thanks to the leadership of #Mathira Technical and Vocational College for opening their doors and hearts to this transformative learning experience. 🙌

✅Together, we share one vision — to empower young people in Kenya with the most in-demand AI skills…

Because AI isn’t the future — AI is NOW! 🤖🔥

Our AI Training at Nyeri North Technical College was amazing-09/10/2025

We had the absolute joy of visiting Nyeri North Technical College for our #AI4TVET Empowerment Session — and wow, what an amazing day it was! 🙌💙

👀Our goal?

💪To help TVET trainees become AI-proficient— ready to blend their hands-on skills in ⚡ electrical, 🔧 mechanical, 🚗 automotive, ✂️ fashion & design, even agribusiness — with the superpowers of #ArtificialIntelligence🤖.

Because the future belongs to the tradesmen and women who can build, fix, and innovate — smarter with AI. 💡

💥 The highlights?

📱 Students went wild when they learned they could actually train their own AI models — right from their phones! 🤯

👁️ We explored Computer Vision— using @GoogleLens to instantly research and troubleshoot vehicle parts (a total game-changer for automotive trainees). 🧰🚙

🎨 And of course, we had fun #NanoBanana AI (from Google AI Studio) — creating professional #LinkedIn headshots and learning how to build personal brands that attracts potential employers. ✨📸

💬 A huge THANK YOU to the management and trainers of #NyeriNorthTechnicalCollege for hosting us and for their dedication to ensuring students are ready for the fast-changing #workplace🙏👏

For us at #AIKnowZoneFoundation, this session marks another proud milestone in our journey to empower TVET trainees across Kenya with the AI skills that truly matter. 🇰🇪💪

🙌We can’t wait to be back soon for the next workshop — and to see the innovative AI trades projects these bright minds will create! 🚀

AI KnowZone Foundation is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nyeri North Technical College in Nyeri County. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our mission to equip young people with future-ready Artificial Intelligence skills.

Through this partnership, AI KnowZone Foundation will provide training to TVET students at Nyeri North Technical College on how to integrate AI into the trades and professions they are studying. The goal is to ensure that graduates are not only skilled in their technical areas, but also prepared to thrive in a rapidly changing job market where the use of AI is becoming essential.

Speaking during the signing, C.P.A Peter Wairimu, Director of Innovations and Research at Nyeri North Technical College, expressed strong support for the initiative, noting that it will help bridge the gap between education and industry needs.

At AI KnowZone Foundation, we believe that this program will go a long way in empowering students to succeed both as innovators and as industry-ready professionals.

📢 Announcement: AI KnowZone Foundation and Fanikisha Hub Partner to Empower TVET Learners with AI & Design Thinking Skills (10/01/2025)

The AI KnowZone Foundation has announced a strategic partnership with Fanikisha Hub, a learner-centered entrepreneurship and innovation hub, to strengthen the AI4TVETs Program in Kenya.

This collaboration will equip Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) learners with the dual power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Design Thinking, enabling them to innovate practical solutions for real-world challenges.

Through this partnership:

  • AI KnowZone Foundation will deliver hands-on AI training, exposing learners to cutting-edge tools and applications.
  • Fanikisha Hub will mentor learners on Design Thinking, prototyping, and innovation methodologies, ensuring ideas can be transformed into viable products and businesses.

👉 The ultimate goal is to empower TVET students to design and build AI Assistants tailored for Juakali trades — from mechanics and artisans to small traders — bridging the gap between technology and Kenya’s vibrant informal economy.

“This partnership is about more than just training; it’s about unlocking the innovative spirit of young Kenyans. By combining AI skills with design thinking, we can help learners not only adapt to the future of work but also shape it,” said [C.P.A John Gitahi, AI KnowZone Foundation].

“Fanikisha has always believed in hands-on learning and industry-driven innovation. Partnering with AI KnowZone allows us to bring the power of AI into this process and prepare students to create products that impact communities directly,” said [Benson Mwangi, Fanikisha Hubs Founder].

This initiative comes at a time when Kenya’s TVET institutions are being positioned as engines of innovation and job creation. By embedding AI into technical training, the program aims to prepare learners for the digital economy while also strengthening Kenya’s MSMEs and Juakali sector with homegrown solutions.
